Help Desk Technician – Tier 1

 

This position assists with the Information Technology Support needs of the Leading Edge Academy Charter Network. The position is one of an IT Customer Support Technician and would work with the IT Manager and the IT Supervisor. The position requires a basic understanding of Information Technology equipment, products, and concepts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Setting up new computer devices such as laptops and Chromebooks,
  • Troubleshooting basic computer problems,
  • Basic IT and telecommunications installation including basic cable running and wiring,
  • Limited networking setup and maintenance, equipment inventorying,
  • Basic IT support in person and by using a defined phone and ticketing system.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the IT service field. Two to Five years preferred. IT related degree (Associates or higher) preferred, IT certifications without a degree or other equivalent considered.
  • Previous IT Customer Support experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with computers in a Microsoft OS environment.
  • Experience with G-Suite and Google Apps.
  • Basic understanding of various Information Technology equipment, products, and concepts.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain tickets in a defined ticket system.
  • Desire to work in a multitasking environment on varied projects.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

IT Customer Support Technician

General Duties

The position will have many varied duties, examples include; setting up
new computer devices such as laptops and Chromebooks, troubleshooting basic computer
problems, basic IT and telecommunications installation including basic cable running and wiring,
limited networking setup and maintenance, equipment inventorying, and basic IT support in person
and by using a defined phone and ticketing system.

Qualifications:

● IT related degree (Associates or higher) preferred, IT certifications without a degree or other equivalent considered.                                                                          ● Previous IT Customer Support experience preferred.
● Familiarity with computers in a Microsoft OS environment.
● Experience with G-Suite and Google Apps.
● Basic understanding of various Information Technology equipment, products, and concepts.
● Monitor, update, and maintain tickets in a defined ticket system.
● Desire to work in a multitasking environment on varied projects.
● Pays close attention to detail.
