With a commitment to character development, small class sizes, traditional values, a safe/wholesome environment, and best practices in education, we aim to be the school of choice in the town of Maricopa.
At Leading Edge Academy, we combine academic excellence with a passion to know each student and help them succeed in school, character, and life. We care about every student!
Our small class sizes ensure your child gets the education and support they need, in a safe, wholesome environment.
We believe character leads to success, and encourage students to embrace the ``6 Pillars of Character`` both academically and personally.
Students in grades K-8 wear uniforms on campus, with dress-down Fridays and special occasions.
I definitely would not have chosen another school for our child. She is absolutely blossomed under the tutelage of her teachers. Characater development is one of the biggest reasons we chose to enroll our child here. They are regularly rewarded and recognized for displaying character qualities and in our experience, it has been made clear to the students at bullying is not an acceptable practice. Rather than just deal with it when it comes up, our child's teacher has effectively dealt with it before it starts
“Leading Edge Academy Maricopa has given my children a wonderful place to learn. The staff is so kind and compassionate and has always dealt with issues in a loving and timely manner. I love the Character Pledge and that the school encourages parents and students to live by it. Mr. Reese has always been willing to talk with me and has a noticeable presence with the children. Leading Edge has exceeded my expectations.”
Founded in 2002 by Delmer Geesey, a pastor with the vision of starting a top-notch traditional education program, Leading Edge Academy schools began with 17 students. Through word of mouth by satisfied parents, the school began to grow each year. In 2007 The Leading Edge Charter Network took this successful format and expanded to East Mesa. The Leading Edge Charter Network continues to expand and currently has school sites in East Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert and Maricopa.
