When should students take college entrance exams?

The OPTIMUM time for students to test is during the spring or summer before their senior year of high school.

Under what circumstances should students test?

Students going to a 4-year university/college should test. While many schools do not use the scores to determine admissions, they still use scores for merit scholarship eligibility.

How much do they cost?

The cost of both tests fluctuate from year to year, although they are typically around $50 each. If your family is eligible, your student may use a fee waiver.

How should I study for the tests?

Various ways. Both testing companies suggest the best way to prepare for the tests is to take rigorous high school courses. Other ways to study include, but are not limited to: forming study groups, downloading Apps with daily questions, using practice guides available on the tests’ websites, utilizing FREE SAT prep on Khan Academy and FREE ACT prep on ACT.Org, following these 8 tools to succeed on the ACT, purchasing a prep guide with practice tests, taking a test prep course, and MUCH MORE.
